Tracy Barron, left, and Dee Hendrickson, second from left, both nursing staff development specialists with the Baptist Golden Triangle Education Department, demonstrate a piece of the hospital's new safe patient handling equipment to Evelyn Thompson, second from right, of Hamilton, Miss., and Dotty Richards, right, of Columbus, Miss. The hospital displayed several pieces of the new equipment in the lobby of the patient tower for the public to view as part of the rollout of the new Safe Patient Handling Program. Baptist invested around $1 million in the new equipment, and in September, Baptist Golden Triangle became the second regional facility in the system to move toward becoming a minimal lift facility.
