Baptist Memphis pharmacy post-graduate residents selected for second year

Four Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis first-year post-graduate students were selected for second-year specialties at different universities in ambulatory care, critical care, academia and oncology. Left to right, Linh Tran will work at Stanford Hospital and Clinics; Kathryn Guinto was accepted into Medical University of  South Carolina; Joe Merkel will be going to Lipscomb University; Latasha Dennis and Amber Shaffer are going straight to work; and Ruth Chan will be at Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group.

“It is the first time that we know of that everyone from Memphis who applied for a second year got it,” said Robert Self, director of Pharmacy Services. “We couldn’t be more proud of our residents and their hard work.”
