Spring 2010 Baptist Colleagues Habitat for Humanity Build

Baptist Memorial Health Care and Habitat for Humanity partnered to build a home for a deserving family of 8 in Memphis. As the home’s exclusive sponsor, Baptist paid the entire $60,000 sponsorship, and Baptist employees, along with Habitat volunteers and the family, worked all the 480 volunteer shifts required to complete the project, putting in more than 2,400 hours of labor. In addition, employees from a number of Baptist Memorial hospitals and departments joined forces to purchase housewarming gifts for the home, including groceries, toiletry items, bedding, towels and appliances.
